  • Establish clear implementation plans to the level of detail required for the business. Position the company to take advantage of new opportunities by staying abreast of the market activities and customers’ product development plan.
  • Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Support and Execute the business plan in accordance with the company’s strategic targets for profitable growth with GM and JOEMs both regionally and globally.
    • Liaises and aligns with leaders in North America and globally. Builds excellent key accounts management and customer relationships so that the company has access to key decision makers, when needed.
    • Leads and manages the RFQ process, including Gates 0 and 1 as required, per customer opportunity, including the coordination of the completion of customer required documents and practices such as breakdown forms and tooling documents.
    • Leads and oversees the execution of all sourced business with GM and JOEMs and including future change control quoting activities in the region.
    • Supports the overall regional activity with team members in North American regions ensuring a consistent message is executed with the customer.

Job Requirements

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as direct interface with the OEM customers. Be able to understand the technical nature of our business and understand and sell Hanon Systems portfolio. 
  • Be the “voice of the customer” and be able to communicate customer requirements within the organization both regionally and globally.
  • Manage the oversight internally for design change cost and price proposals, accrual data confirmation with plants and local finance.
  • Be able to manage and follow company established procedures for managing and tracking new business pursuits, new business wins and customer recoveries in a timely basis.

Years of Experience

Years: 5 to 10 years plus with direct OEM sales.

Degree Preferred

BS in Business, Engineering or Finance

Desired Competencies, Experience, & Qualifications

  • Progressive commercial experience within the automotive OEM industry or tier one global suppliers, with proven sales track record of having managed a minimum sales revenue of US$25 with steady business growth
  • Ideally have worked with GM, JOEMs or alternative OEMs or have assisted their current or previous employer penetrate into these accounts. Understanding of how to build customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies. Provide strategic vision for a complex organization, yet be sufficiently disciplined to ensure its tactical performance in a results-oriented environment and industry.
  • Excellent communication skills. Communicates effectively in writing and speaking to key stakeholders in the business at all levels. Knows how to maintain a close and healthy tie between US and the HQ.
  • Strong influencing skills; able to mobilize resources without having direct ownership.
  • Strong commercial acumen: ability to influence and negotiate agreements.
  • A self-starter and results driven individual, committed to delivering results with the ability to focus and provide focus to others on delivering key initiatives, and targets with a “can do” attitude

Special Requirements (ie: Overtime, Travel, etc)

  • Approximately 10-20% travel, both domestic and international
