Job Description


The Hanon Systems Sales Account Manager for various California electric OE customers will report to the Commercial Senior Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of managing the customer relationships and commercial activities with California electric OE customers.  He/She will be the direct contact with these customers with a linkage back to the Hanon Systems planning and program management teams.



 Responsible for developing the overall Hanon Systems strategic plan for our California electric OE customers in the Americas.

  • Responsible for generating profitable revenue growth in line with corporate business plans
  • Oversee and direct a team of account managers assigned to these customers ensuring complete execution of the account manager function in line with customer expectations and corporate objectives.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with senior executives at Hanon’s California electric OE customers on a global basis
  • Provide the customer with a cohesive / comprehensive understanding of the global relationship with Hanon Systems

Job Requirements


7 - 15 years sales experience in the automotive OE or tier 1 level environment, including intimate knowledge of California electric OE customers, including battery packs and auxillary power systems.


Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business.  MS degree preferred.


  • Experience in a highly matrixed and/or complex global organization
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive industry.
  • Automotive thermal energy management product knowledge is desired, such as HVAC, heat exchangers, compressors and fluid transport components.
  • Strong business acumen - both strategic and hands on; able to lead in execution as well as develop strategy
  • Able to make decisions independently with appropriate level of consultation/communication
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both oral and written, at all levels.
  • Project management and strong process management skills
  • Commitment to the highest standards of ethical behavior in self and others
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build productive relationships from a zero base.
  • Ability to provide leadership to dispersed teams in varying locations
  • Proactive thinker with the ability to respond to unexpected situations


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (i.e. Overtime, Travel, etc.):

  • Domestic and global travel required (less than 20%)
  • Location San Jose/San Francisco, California area
