Job Description


Providing daily metallurgical and technical support to all company departments.

Participate in new equipment and process specifications.

Performing routine metallographic preparation and optical microscopy

Performing routine hands on non-destructive testing such as ultrasonic inspection, hardness testing, and retained austenite analysis.

Conduct root cause failure analysis investigations on customer claims and internal failures.

Prepare detailed technical reports on completed failure analysis investigations.

Conducting corrective and preventive action investigations.

Responsible for identifying and executing projects for process improvements.

Actively contributing and implementing continuous process improvements

Develop and improve manufacturing plans, processes and procedures

Analyze rejects and non-conforming product to determine root cause and corrective actions

Review claims and material specifications

Review test plans and results for product acceptability

Conduct experiments for cost, yield and quality improvements.


Job Requirements


B.S. Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Material Science Engineering (or equivalent degree)


3-5 years demonstrated experience with low and high temperature metal brazing.

Solid experience with DOE and statistical analysis methods are a must.

Experience leading a project from inception to completion.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to clearly indicate expectations.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to positively motivate and a desire to advance in career.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to facilitate, support, and implement change within the organization

Understand manufacturing environment, tools to be used, and safety skills required

MS Office knowledge, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
