Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support new business quotes by determining investment and labor required for safe, high quality, low cost, lean manufacturing operations.
  • Lead development of new fluid transport manufacturing processes.
  • Thoroughly understand all fluid transport products and manufacturing operations in all plants.
  • Conduct manufacturing feasibility analysis of new fluid transport designs.
  • Represent Manufacturing Engineering at meetings with customers.
  • Interface with Product Development on Design for manufacturing features for AC Lines.
  • Support plant personnel in development of all required launch documentation.
  • Participate in technical design reviews.
  • Prepare detailed facility and tool specifications for new manufacturing operations using standardized global process.
  • Provide assistants to plants with any manufacturing issues concerning AC lines.
  • Continuously improve quality by managing learned incorporating them into all new processes and sharing with all plants.
  • Ensure safety of all fluid transport facilities and tools, new and existing.
  • Drive for low cost alternatives for all investments.
  • Support pre-production and PPAP builds.
  • Support all documentation requirements including PFMEA, Control Plans, and Hanon Product Development System deliverables.
  • Assist manufacturing plant with process design including AC Line assembly and PV testing required.
  • Develop new program launch budgets and plans.

Job Requirements


Years of Experience

  • 3-5 years relevant Mfg. process engineering experience


Degree Preferred

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Significant manufacturing / mfg. engineering experience in lieu of 4 yr. degree will be considered.


desired Competencies, Experience, & Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Understanding in concepts of one piece flow, constraint management, automation tradeoffs for optimal manufacturing efficiency, and Lean manufacturing.
  • Spanish Portuguese, or Korean language skills a plus


Special Requirements (i.e.: Overtime, Travel, etc.)

  • Position may require travel one week per month potentially including worldwide.
