Job Description

Responsibilities include disposition of PPAP packages for new model programs, management of High Impact supplier parts on new model programs, successful completion of greenbelt/six sigma projects, new supplier assessments and necessary follow-up, and participation in commodity sourcing strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Lead supply base Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) by holding weekly meetings with suppliers.
  • Verify supplier launch readiness efforts, and high impact assessments utilizing Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) quality standards, statistical methods, and engineering disciplines in support of Hanon Product Development System (HPDS) through safe launch.
  • Manage and support Hanon plant APQP process including but not limited to cascading customer specific requirements, run at rate, PPAP documentation review and safe launch plan approval and track performance to safe launch plan.
  • Responsible for training suppliers in PPAP procedures and requirements.
  • Identify, investigate and resolve supplier technical and / or systemic issues to drive quality improvement in the supply base. Utilize six sigma tools in problem resolution.
  • Work with Technical experts and Product Development to improve designs and processing at both the supplier and Hanon locations through participation in Technical Design Reviews with emphasis on specifications and GD&T for manufacturing feasibility.
  • Possess expertise in manufacturing process/ quality systems.  Support the commodity strategy and sourcing process.
  • Support re-sourcing efforts, supplier site changes, and new supplier selection in reduction of cost and quality improvement.  Work to develop a world class supply base.
  • Provide weekly status reports to support AQE reporting requirements to Korea.
